Material Matters
Every Analog Restorations mat begins with premium Portuguese cork, selected for its consistency, density, and natural character.
But premium material is only the beginning.
What transforms exceptional cork into an exceptional platter mat is everything that follows.
Developed for Analog Restorations
Our cork isn't selected from a catalog.
Harvested in Portugal and processed in the United States by a small, experienced manufacturer, every sheet begins with generations of craftsmanship.
After nearly a year of research, testing, and refinement, we developed a proprietary cork blend and construction made exclusively for Analog Restorations.
This custom material is the foundation of every platter mat we produce—designed with purpose, not marketing. It's what makes our products different.
Precision by Design
Quality takes time.
Our cork is formed in solid blocks before being sliced into sheets. We found that mats made from rolls of cork, a more standard way cork media is produced, will not stay truly flat. This is due to corks natural propensity to retain the shape in which it was processed. Our choice to use cut block is what creates exceptional flatness and long-term dimensional stability.
Each mat is precision cut in small batches using a custom 11.9-inch die, ensuring clean edges, consistent dimensions, and uncompromising accuracy.
Designed with Intention, and crafted for the experience.
Cork is valued for its grip, vibration control, and sustainability. Our proprietary construction enhances those natural qualities with a dense, uniform structure that feels exceptionally soft while providing lasting stability.
When all these things come together the result is a mat built to perform and designed to endure, all while providing a surface that is unmatched in feel and gentle on your records.
Every decision we make must answer one question:
Does it improve the experience?
If it doesn't, it doesn't belong.
This goes beyond just our platter mats and extends to how every Analog Restorations product is designed.
We don't believe craftsmanship and innovation should end when the music begins.
From the moment you open the package to the moment the stylus meets the groove, every detail has been considered.
That's what you deserve.
